January Safari Highlights – A Spectacular Start to 2025
January is nearly behind us, and what a start to 2025 it has been!
We can’t believe January is almost over! Traditionally, January is a quieter travel month, as many people settle back into work routines after the holidays. But for those in the know, it’s one of the best times to visit—off-peak travel means fewer crowds, warm summer days, and incredible wildlife encounters.
This month, we hosted two unforgettable safaris:
A South African Extravaganza for Returning Guests
For our repeat guests, Tomas and Marie, we curated a journey that avoided the typical tourist trail, focusing instead on their personal interests.
Their adventure began in Hermanus, where they were lucky enough to spot whales and dolphins right from their hotel room. Next, wi
th a passion for wine and art, they returned to Stellenbosch, revisiting Babylonstoren and immersing themselves in the Dylan Lewis Sculpture Garden.
In Cape Town, we arranged a stay along Blouberg Beach, offering uninterrupted views of Table Mountain—a breathtaking sight, especially at sunset. From there, they traveled to Blyde River Canyon, where we joined them for a scenic boat cruise. With the recent rains, the Tufa waterfall was in full force, creating spectacular photo opportunities.
The final leg of their journey took them deep into the Greater Kruger National Park, where two safari camps provided them with exceptional wildlife encounters. From lions on the hunt to elephants grazing peacefully, every game drive delivered unforgettable moments. Tomas and Marie, thank you for trusting us once again to craft your perfect safari!
A Missionary Safari in Kruger
Our second hosted trip took a group of missionaries into Kruger National Park for an immersive wildlife experience. Sightings were no thing short of spectacular—highlights included a large Sable bull, two separate packs of endangered African wild dogs, and countless elephants feasting on marula fruit, a seasonal favorite.
Looking Ahead
While hosting these incredible journeys, we also took time this month to update our website, design, and confirm several upcoming safaris—some for this year and even into 2026! Whether you're dreaming of an off-peak escape or planning a future adventure, we’re here to make it happen.
